Brand Design

Design with substance, for brands with a point of view.

Vision & Values

What drives your brand, and where it's going. That stance becomes design principles, and our compass in the work.

Corporate Design

Logo, colour, type, and how they work together. A design system that can carry the brand.

Tone of Voice

You are how you speak. We develop a corporate wording that gives your brand a voice no one else has.

Naming

Names that stick. Product and brand names that hit the character.

Visual Language

Campaigns that belong to the brand. Not a one-off. A visual language that holds across channels.

Brand Guidelines

So the brand stays itself without us in the room. A guide that's clear enough to actually use.

Projects

We don't see design as decoration. It's values and stance, made visible. It grows from what the brand stands for, not the other way round. As a design studio in Würzburg we make identities for companies, cultural institutions and public bodies. With craft in the making, and a hold on their context, we make design that can be trusted.

Common questions

What is the difference between corporate design and brand identity?

The two terms often get treated as the same. They describe different layers. Brand identity is the whole picture: values, stance, position, language and visual appearance together. Corporate design is the visual part of that: logo, colours, type, imagery. Short: brand identity settles what your brand stands for. Corporate design makes it visible.

Do I need a brand strategy first before I commission corporate design?

Many want to start with design, because it's tangible and visible. Good corporate design grows from what your brand stands for. Without that ground, design stays a matter of taste, not stance. A clear position saves you time, money and loops in the design process. If you're not sure whether your ground is enough, talk to us. We'll find the right path together.

How much does corporate design cost at fjnland?

Almost everyone asks this early, and they're right to. We can't name a flat number up front. It depends on scope and what's already there. Focused corporate design with logo, colour and type, plus a small brand guide, starts in the lower five-figure range. A design system across channels, with workshops and strategic groundwork, sits in the upper five-figure range. Best to clarify your actual need in the free first conversation. Then you get a realistic picture for your project.

How long does a corporate design process take?

A full corporate design process usually takes eight to fourteen weeks. High complexity, long decision paths or a deep strategic start can take six months. Starting with a solid brand strategy usually saves time in design.

When does a rebrand make sense?

Does this sound familiar: your brand has moved on, the appearance hasn't? Typical triggers: a changed business model, a new audience, a new generation with a fresh view, or a look that no longer matches who you are today. It's usually a fundamental shift that makes you look closer at the visual clothes. In that work we also look at the strategic substance, so stance and visuals speak one language.

What is the difference between a rebranding and a brand refresh?

This distinction often comes up once it's clear something has to change, just not how much. A rebrand starts over: new self-image, new position, often a new name or a completely new look. A brand refresh keeps what holds, and sharpens what no longer fits. Type, colour and imagery get brought up to date. The core stays recognisable. The real question isn't how much changes. It's whether the substance still holds. If yes, a refresh is often enough. If not, you need more.
