01 Context

"Einfach Meer." isn't an ad line at CHARTERBAR Yachting. It's a promise. Not an anonymous booking platform, but an agency in Würzburg where people pick up the phone. They know the work. A community that lives sailing. But the brand grew faster than its identity. Changing looks, no through-line, a growing set of channels without a shared system. The substance was there. You couldn't see it. So the brand looked smaller than it was, and was about to disappear behind its own offer.

02 Method

It started with what they stand for, not the logo. "Einfach Meer." became the idea for a design system that speaks the same language on every channel. We sharpened logo and signet, didn't replace them. The maritime feel stays, the professionalism grows. An evolution, not a break. From that ground came a design system across channels, built for use from the start: every format can be produced without starting over. We built the YouTube channel into the main stage. A theme-based thumbnail system gives orientation. The editorial flagship is the yearly print magazine "YACHTCHARTER – DAS MAGAZIN". We were responsible not only for the layout, but for the whole editorial concept: themes, picture editing, our own illustrations and infographics, copywriting and print production. Each issue was thought new in content, and followed the same design principles and the same editorial structure.

03 Result

Today CHARTERBAR Yachting appears on every channel with the same visual language. The brand became recognisable not by volume, but by consistency. Across print, web, social, YouTube and podcast, all from one system. We brought more than 200 videos into one look. The YouTube channel grew with a structure. Three issues of the magazine came out in our design and layout while we were looking after it, each on time and at full length: 60 to 80 pages, a multi-column grid, own illustrations, infographics on sailing licences, cruising grounds and weather, plus picture editing, retouching, copywriting and print production. That's what editorial design looks like when it carries a whole system. Four years of work showed one thing: brand work isn't a project. It's a process. The system now runs on its own, including without ongoing care.
